Tell Us What Truly Works (And Win Our Amazing New Eye Cream, Which Really Works Too!)

Here is a list of things that truly work, according to an unscientific survey of the Lancôme P.R. department:

1. Spanx
2. Band-Aid Blister Block
3. Static Guard
4. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
5. Tide to Go pens
6. Swiffer cloths

You can add our new Génifique eye cream to that list. Erin and I decided to road test the new potion--but just under one eye. The results were pretty impressive. In just one week, you could tell which eyes we were using it under. It's a fantastic gel-like formula that actually works on dark circles and brightens your under-eye area. You might even need less concealer. And it's good for a variety of ages. I'm using it, but so is our intern Madeline, who at 22 years of age is slightly more fresh faced than I am.

It's also great for guys, especially those with dark circles who wouldn't use concealer in a million years. Plus, the packaging is really unisex for those sensitive about such things.

We're giving away a jar of Génifique eye cream. Just tell us one thing that you think really really works and we'll pick one post at random. Please post by Sunday night. Good luck!

My steam mop. It is the best, cleans up everything and doesn't leave a film like most cleaners.

I can't think of anything else right now but yeast! (I wonder if this is the correct English word) Although it's for baking purposes you can eat it (I dislike the taste tho) or put on pimples. It makes miracles! Helps skin remain smooth and young^^ Does better than many-many over priced beauty items....Definitely a must try!

mmm... Sculpturale works!! It really does if you apply it every day and do the massage!! I love it!

It's good to know that Genifique Eye can be applied at any age... The activator was really too much for me when I tried... My mum loved it, but personally at 25 I felt "I don't need this, yet" I'm so gonna test the eye treatment next time I visit my SA at the Lancôme Counter!

Downy Wrinkle Releaser &
Mighty Mendit (for fixing pants hems)

Travel with a trial size of each, and perhaps a Tide pen mentioned above, and you can fix pretty much any problem your suit can throw at you, on the fly!

Cetaphil anti-bacterial bar is the only cleanser that really helps clear up blemishes for me. It works better than any of the bazillion cleansers (both expensive and cheap) that I've tried over the years, without overly drying my skin.

Kerry, I agree with you: Spanx! Even we can't get the original here -we use alikes, a lot of people and magazines tell that actually does wonders. I hope that one day I can get mine.

PS.- Something natural an great to: water! :D Just think on a hot day and big and cold glass of water hehehe.

The smell of Lavender really works to help you sleep. I put a few drops of Lavender Essential Oil in a spray bottle with water and spray my sheets and pillow case lightly before I go to sleep. The smell really helps me to breathe deeper which relaxes me and I drift off to sleep :)

I agree with Gaby: Vaseline does wonders! I'm actually addicted to it and can't live without some in my lips at all times.

And like Marie, from Cremitas y Maquillajes, I'm glad to read that it can be used in your 20s. Normal eye creams don't seem to do much for me, but I think I'm young to start using antiaging ones. I'd love to try Génifique!

Interesting tip with the yeast thing. I don't know if I'll be brave enough to actually try it!

Anyway, I've been using LashFood for a few months now and I can say it really works! My lashes are growing longer and their glossier and more healthy looking!

One thing that really works is using toothpaste for polishing silver! I use it on my silver jewelry and it works like a charm! I've even used it to polish the crystal of my old swatch watch and the results were amazing...most scratches were gone. I've also read that you can use it to polish your nails, but I haven't tried that yet...makes sense though :)
