Aleksis Loves Beauty and Lancome Loves Aleksis! Here's the Buzz on Oscillation Powerfoundation

Let's start with a disclaimer for our friends at the FTC. Aleksis is not on the payroll! But what a terrific, thorough video. Thank you, Aleksis. Glad you like the product. People like you make my job easier!

Aleksis, as you can see above, reviewed our cool new product, Oscillation Powerfoundation. This is a mineral foundation that comes in a neat, easy-to-use package with a vibrating applicator. Just for the record, it comes in 12 shades and four intensities, from Ivory 10 to Sable 20. Check out lancome-usa.com for the shade chart to see photos of the actual loose powder, not just a shade chip. You'll get a good sense of the colors available. And the shades do work on a wide range of skin tones. We learned this at the editor event we did a few months back.

If you'd like to try Oscillation Powerfoundation, our friends over at My Beautyberry are giving some away. So scoot your cute selves over there and become a member so you can qualify for their giveaways.

P.S. Aleksis, you're not a fan of Oscillation Mascara?? How can that be? Maybe we need to arrange an iChat session so we can walk you through it and demo. We will convert you!

P.S.S. Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm having a night on the couch for a change so Kerry asked me to share the best way to use Oscillation (since I'm not busy of course!)

xoxo

Powerfoundation is really easy to use and the results are consistent. The trick is that you need to use a soft touch and know that this product allows you to do your makeup FAST.

---Shake the product, lift the sponge, and with a soft touch, glide the sponge over one entire side of your face. Repeat on the other side and DONE.

Add concealer and blush as needed but there's no need for setting powder. Enjoy!

Aww thanks Kerry! Would I win some points if I said I have and love Hypnose, Definicils, and L'Extreme mascara? =)p.s. I just did a post on the *amazing* prize I won from you! There's lots of swatches of the products and I did an FOTD with a few of the products as well!

Okay, Aleksis. You're off the hook! Great post on your blog, by the way. You won that bag that everyone wanted.

Andrew, thanks for the info. Does it make a difference if you start in the center of the face or off to the side first?

Her best Lancome post is about 'Smoky Rouge'! I love it!

Has anyone used it over sunscreen?

Hey, I didn't know Aleksis, but I think her review is awsome! It's great that she goes over all the ingredients in the foundation... I always check that when I buy cosmetics!!

I'm desperate to try! Do you know if this'll be launched internationally, or just in America?

My favourite foundation is Color Ideal, great coverage and no clogging at all... but still, I so wanna try a mineral foundation, I hope it'll be sold here as well!

I have a special interest in this oscillating products trend, in connection with the after-use recycling of the rare-earth motors they contain.

the "Digit Yantra" is a 3-D computer-animated tactile sculpture for the visually impaired. In my sculpture, the vibrator motor from your mascara will become an actuator of tactile animation. So, please keep those heavy metals out of the landfills -- send them to me!
