Looking for a new lipstick? You might want to check out the Ultimate Lipstick Challenge from Realbeauty.com, the newest beauty site in town. The editors took 137 lipsticks and tried them on eight women with different skin tones and looks. They picked the one red, the one nude, the one pink and the one brown that worked the best on all of the women. Definitely an interesting experiment. (Some of the pink lippie pics are above.)
Why are we sharing this news? Because Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge in Voile de Rose won best pink lipstick! I have to make a terrible confession: I have never worn Voile de Rose! (But guess what I'll be wearing tomorrow...)

Hmm... I bought a MAC lipstick a month and a half or so ago. It was a limited edition shade and it made me think of a creme-finish version of my all time fave lipstick. (Ever notice how when you buy lippies, you always zero in on the same colors?)
i am sure it sounds crazy but i never bought a lipstick before- i was always a lip gloss girl. I always thought lipstick looks harsh on me but this pink shade looks very flattering :)
Last month I bought this revlon lipstick. Turned out to be too red. So I have not worn it since I tried it on. I prefer gloss though.
Oh my.. honestly, I can't remember the last time I bought a lipstick. I bought a lipliner in August, and I think my (unused) newest lipstick is a MAC tube from at least a year ago. I'd love to try some new shades!

This is such a gorgeous colour! I really like this type of pinks. The last time I bought a lipstick was a couple of months ago...I did buy a lipgloss last week though, does that count? :)
thanks for sharing that link! ive actually been in search of the perfect pink! a lot of the ones i try out have a tone that makes my teeth look yellow, or they dont flatter my awkward skin color (not quite fair not quite tan with some yellow?). So i will def give that site a look :). the last time i bought lipstick...s.. was a month or 2 ago. it was from NYX they were having a big sale. 22 lipsticks +other goodies for 25 bucks lol. i jumped on it!

Last lipstick I bought was L'Oreal Long Lasting Lip stick in this coral shade in early Sept.
oohh I forgot... the last time I bought a lipstick was probably 2-3 years ago... lol
and that was before I knew about Lancome... I bought some lipstick from clinic. But ever since I wear Lancome .. I always have to buy something when there is gift with purchase or even purchase with purchase... so I got a lot of lipstick as a gift... I wear them all the time.. Love it.
and the last time would be purchase with purchase at Macy's for $29 it was a good deal with the brown bag.
Last lipstick was about 6 years ago - the Shiseido Sheer Gloss Lipstick in a berry color! I still have a little bit of it left, amazingly. I don't buy lipstick often - not because I don't want to, but because there's always such a huge range to choose from, I usually just give up. xD
I got a new MAC lipstick about 2 months ago, my first red :) Turns out its a little too bright for my taste, but I use a lipliner and/or lipgloss to tone it down and it's one of my new favorite shades. I don't have many pinks, so I'd love to try Voile de Rose out!
The last one I bought was more than a year ago. While on a trip on Germany, I bought a pink lipstick by Nivea. Really, really sheer color but I feel weird wearing it, as I'm not used to lipstick. Back to my beloved glosses!!

I bought two about two months a go from Avon, nice colors and textures.
And last week a bought an incredible gloss from Clarins, a really good product I think. I like the container too because it is glass. Most of the tubes of glosses are from plastic.
It's not crazy expensive for its quality.
Glosses are like my obsession, I have like 20 Juicy Tubes, my favorites <3 There were my fisrt ever Lancome product I have, since then I'm in love hehe.

I bought a new lipstick during the summer. I wanted something shiny with some sparkle to go with my tan :)
Wow, I haven't bought any lipstick for ages. I've always had problems with the little dry spots on my lips showing up whenever I wore any (to much information?) but now that I know how to better prep my lips, I should probably stock up again!
The color looks nice - even on the redhead! (I have red hair as well.) My latest lipstick was bought about a month ago.
The last lipstick I purchased was about 11 months ago - a great nude & one that looks like it's black in the tube, but is a gorgeous raisen color on the lip! (can you tell that I usually use lip gloss during the warmer months?!?!) I'm not usually a 'pink' girl, but I'm wanting to try the Lancome L'Absolu Rouge, And I really would LOVE to try the Lancome base/treatment, too! :)
I can´t even remember the last time I bought a lipstick, but I bet it´s been at least a year ago. I have no problem buying lip glosses, but lipsticks are tricky because it´s hard to impress me. I`m on a forever long hunt to find the perfect pink lipstick that looks like my lips, but better.
I love Voile de Rose! It really does look good on everyone - so cool. I went to Realbeauty to look at the lipstick challenge and was surprised they chose MAC Ruby Woo as the best red. I own it and love it, but most people don't as it's super matte and the texture takes some getting used to. I've found that MAC Russian Red is the most universally flattering red. Anyway, yay for Lancome! I wholeheartedly agree with the choice.

Why is it that L'Absolu Rouge in Voile de Rose doesn't exist in Europe?!
Andromeda, there are some Lancome shades that you can find in every country and some shades that are exclusive to each country. I guess Voile de Rose is one of them! There's a Juicy Tube shade in the U.K. called Melon that we don't have in the U.S. and people always ask me to bring it back for them. So it happens to us too!
I didn't know that, thanks for explaining it to me. It's a pity though, Voile de Rose seems to be a beautiful tone of pink.
