Faubourg-St. Honoré
Originally uploaded by Adam Chin
Hi, everyone. Day Three in Paris. I went to the Lancome boutique this afternoon on Faubourg St. Honore for the Genifique facial, which was really amazing. I never walk around without makeup if I can avoid it (insecure quirk of mine), but my skin looked and felt so glowy, I couldn't bear to put makeup on afterwards. The esthetician used Galatee Confort cleanser, Secret de Vie cleanser, Tonique Douceur cleanser, Exfoliance Clarte scrub, Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, Genifique Eye Cream and Genifique Day Cream (which isn't available in the U.S., so I bought one to try at home!). The facial included some ultrasound, lots of massage and some steam. It took an hour and a half total. I haven't had a facial in years, so this was a nice treat. Not to mention insanely relaxing. I think I might have fallen asleep for a little while. Speaking of sleep, it's way past my bedtime. More Paris talk tomorrow.
Let's give away all the products I mentioned above (except the Genifique day cream-sorry!). Just post your must-have skincare product and we'll pick one post at random. Please post by Wednesday night. Talk to you soon!

My must have skincare product is my Shiseido Purifying masks, it really gets all the black heads outs and makes my pores look smaller. =)it feels a bit like clay. It's a great for once a week/fortnight!
My must haves are my Lush Ocean Salt, vaseline cocoa butter deep conditioning, green tea (to drink)
Mine would be plain old glycerin soap.
The only skin care product that I feel is 100% essential (although all the others provide extremely helpful benefits) is a good cleanser, one that isn't too drying and yet doesn't leave the face feeling un-squeaky clean. I have a few favorites, but I've never tried any of the Lancome cleansers (which I really ought to do)!
my must have skincare product is aveeno lotion! i use it for my face and body to keep the dry patches at bay
My must have is the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque!! It never fails when my skin isn't looking the greatest. And of course, the "Asprin Mask" (uncoated asprin tablets mixed with water) Zaps blemishes overnight!!
My must have skincare product is/was Missha's Nourishing Brown Rice cleanser. Unfortunately it has just been discontinued (I just found out last week) and I was not able to stock up before it sold out . Now I'm on the hunt for a new cleanser.
Mines is for sure Lancome's Aqua Fusion moisturizer. It's very hydrating...and doesn't leave me skin oily aferwards. Love it!
Does my clarisonic count? if it does, then that! it makes my skin so smooth, without it i know the texture would nevverr be right to put anything on it ever. also i know what you mean about facials! they leave my skin sooo clean and nice i would feel like if i put makeup on it i would be dirtying it lol :(
With the recent cold weather snap we have had here in Florida I have elevated L'Occitane shea butter to holy grail status it has made my skin look and feel amazing : )
Hey Kerry, I hope you're having a great time!!!!!!! My must have is Aqua Fusion!!!!!!!! I just adore it... but the truth is there are at least 20 Lancôme products I couldn't live without, like Flash Retouche, Soleil DNA Guard SPF50, Miracle and Miracle So Magic, Sculpturale, Tonique Douceur, Pure Focus Cleanser and so many more... The facial sounds like heaven!!!! It reminds me that it's ben quite a while since I last did my at-home facial!!!
Enjoy Paris!
Marie
My must-have is the Eau Thermale La Roche Posay!
It's so refreshing and moisturizing! It's definately worth the price!!
Oh gosh too many faves to narrow! But one that comes to mind is Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, an old fave that never disappoints.
My must have skin care is my Neutrogena sunscreen. I have to have sunscreen on before I leave the house.
I love the Huile Douceur oil cleanser. I love it. Every time I use it I feel like I am pampering my skin!!!!
My must have is colloidal oatmeal soap - it's made a huge difference in my skin from using that once a day to wash my face!
I can't live without my Garnier Nutritioniste Anti-Puff Eye Roller. With a five month old at home, it is a godsend for those days that I've had too little sleep and too much to do.
MOISTURIZER! I can't live without them. And exfoliators. Both are so important as I flake and bleed because my skin gets so dry in the winter.
Kerry!! Your Parissienne facial sounds AMAZING! I'm jealous!! :)
I can't live without a good moisturiser esp in the winter!!!

i love the nivea q10 eye cream. it's cheap & it works!
^_^

lol, this is hard! I have a few things that are HG, but if I had to choose one, I think I'd go with Murad Oil Mattifier with SPF 15. During the summer especially, my skin gets so oily that my foundation literally slides off my face...this is the first product that pretty much stops that!
So jealous, I was vicariously enjoying your facial. I LOVE a good facial. My must have skin care is eye cream, I haven't found one I am in love with so i continue to try new things but I am trying to fight those crow feet!
The facial sounds so nice 1 1/2 hours alone, jelious. I would like to try the Exfoliance Clarte scrub
My current must have in my skincare is . . . I can't choose! Either my moisturizer or my cleanser . . . I'm using a tester of the Genefique eye cream this week (one night down) and it felt SO good going on, I hope that it helps my eyes look better!
i love philosophy's miracle retinol anti-aging pads!
Jealous! Hope you're having a blast in Paris :)
My must-have is MOISTURIZER. I can't go without it. I should feel the same about SPF but I just haven't gotten around to it :(
i wish i could visit Paris someday! i am still testing out different products for my picky skin. one of the products i love the most is argan oil- it helps to heal my pimples faster and gives my skin a glow :)

My clarasonic facial brush! Makes all my lancome products work better :-)
Enjoy Paris! I hope you get lots of opportunities to roam around and maybe drink a coffee at a sidewalk cafe? Tres chic! My must-have skin care item is my Dermalogica skin renewal booster, the alpha hydroxy acid in it helps to regenerate my skin cells, making me look smooth and pretty ;)
That facial sounds divine! Right now I can't live without my Proactiv Green Tea Moisturizer. It smells amazing and it really soothes my very dry skin because of the acne medication I'm using.

Eye cream! Test-driving Genefique Eye right now...
Hi Kerry, hope you are having a fabulous time in Paris! What do you eat there everyday?! My must have is Purity facial cleanser by Philosophy.
Beauty comes from within...
So my fave must have is organic cold pressed flax seed oil...
I drink 3-4 spoons a day and
I use it as a nightcream...My skin looks like the skin of a baby...
Hello, dear Kerry! :D
I can't go out unless my skins smells delicious.
So my favourite HG product has to be body butter from Lush called "Honeymooners".
It hydrates my dry skin, leaving a wonderful warm and sexy scent. And it is so long-lasting! Love it. <3
mine has to be sunscrreen! always slather it on!!!!!!
nicolemarielum @gmail.com
My must have is moisturizer for combination skin.
A moisturizer with SPF! I don't have a particular HG brand, I like to test different things... right now I'm using one from Sephora (Sephora brand, which is ok-tinted as well, so 3 in 1!) or this Korres moisturizer with the clinique city block sunscreen! I'm quite happy with everything :)
my must have skin care item is the murad post acne lightening gel. best product EVER!!!!!
My skincare must-haves are Biore's Dual Fusion Moisturizer + SPF 30 (this stuff is amazing), Burt's Bees lip balm, and lavender essential oil which smells good and keeps me calm. I'd love to win this contest!
My current skincare must have is Philosophy Purity Made Simple cleanser. I can't live without it.
My answer to your question changes probably every couple weeks (I'm fickle, I know!) but right now I'm loving my Clarisonic Mia. I got really bad windburn on my face over the holidays (I visited my mom in CO) and my Clarisonic was my godsend. It took off all the dead skin and made my face smooth again. I love it!
Murad has completely changed the look and feel of my skin since I started using about a year ago. AMAZING.
The facial sounds fabulous! Reminds me I must get to Paris again soon...My absolute must-have skincare item is my little tube of E45 moisturising lotion. I have lots of Lancome and Clarins products that I adore - but if forced to leave the house with only one item, it's my E45. Inexpensive but does the trick!
Having a proper skincare routine is just as important as a beautiful makeup application. At the end of the day, when I'm back home, I often chose to remove my makeup as one of my top priorities. Following the 3 years of experience, I've discovered the importance of the procedure, product, and process of makeup removal. In my opinion, Bi-Facil is one of most reliable eye makeup remover I've used since it always successfully removes all the cosmetics I put on while reducing the potential harm of the excess chemicals on my skin. In addition, when I go out, I always wear products with SPF 20 in order to provide UV protection for my skin.
My current must have skin care product is Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and my Genifique youth Activating Serum.
Clarifiance cleanser! I've used it since I was 12, haha.
I always need a good moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher. Right now I'm using Olay
Natura Bisse toner
Hey There and Greetings from the States.
Hope you are having a fabulous time.
My absolute must have product is my cleanser. The other products are also important BUT, if I don't have clean skin to begin with then why waste the other products????
My must haves are St Ives Apricot Scrub ,and Nivea Gel Face Wash :-)
My must have is Burt's Bees Radiance Cleanser! It makes my skin soft during the winter and it's really cheap.
I really like the Clinique Superdefense Cream SPF 25. It's so moisturizing and keep the flakes away! I'd LOVE to be able to try some Lancome skincare products though :)
sleep and h2o :)
Eye cream, one night without it and I feel the threat of wrinkles:s I alternate the brands and products, so my skin doesn't get used to it.
love.makeup@gmail.com
I love Dr. Brandts dermabrasion and other products but I think my most importand is a good daily sunscreen with at least SPF of 30. I use it on my face, body and hands everyday no matter what the weather.
Paris!! You're living my dream! Sounds wonderful! My must haves are a serum for face and neck and a good eye cream. I can go without a day cream if I use a serum on my combination skin. Thanks.

I can't live without my clindasol cream! ... if I don't use it and use another cream, I will invariably get a pimple the next day :(
My must have is my Genifique' serum! I've been using it faithfully since June, 09 & my skin really HAS improved! (Can't believe I missed the cut-off -- AGAIN! Really must get a laptop for "@home use!") ;(
My must have beauty essential is Almay Eye-Makeup Remove Pads... they come pre-moistened and don't irritate my eyes if/when I accidentaly get some into my eyes trying to take off that last bit of eyeliner.
my absolute must have skin care item is lancome's absolute eyecream, seriously --whoa
My must have is a moisturizer with SPF. Now I`m using one by Olay but I haven`t found the perfect one.
This might sound cheap..but I must have Neutrogena Acne Wash. It's what keeps me from breaking out. Thanks
